Jim Long Jim Long has written the'Down to Earth' column for The Herb Companion magazine for the past 15years. He also has regular columns in: The HerbQuarterly ('Herbalist's Notebook'), TheOzarks Mountaineer ('The Ozarks Herbalist'), and The Heirloom Gardener('Heirloom Herbalist'). He writes a syndicated newspaper column,'Ozarks Gardening' and contributes articles on a regular basis to a variety of other garden-related publications.
